Go to Newsela and complete the assigned article and quiz about cloning. When you are finished, you can work on any missing work from any class.
If you do not have any unfinished work in any class, you can choose any brain pop or edpuzzle movie and quiz to complete for extra credit.
Make sure you put up all chairs, clean up any trash on the floor, and put all supplies away before you leave.

1. Breadboard Circuits Activity

Procedure:
- 1. Pass out supplies
- 2. Prepare bulb: Carefully twist and pull off the cut section of plastic insulation from each wire lead. Take the wires on each side of the bulb and gently twist the thin strands together to give it a “rope” like appearance. Repeat on the other side. Be careful not to poke your fingers with the wire strands.
- 3. Get your battery. Look at your battery and bulb/socket/wire. Which parts are conductors and which are insulators? Can you make the bulb light with just these two parts?
- 4. Build a basic circuit activity (we'll do this together) (see written directions below)

- Build a Tinkercad House
- When you have finished all three lessons, browse the projects and choose a simple (one piece) shape to create and print

3. If you chose a Rube Goldberg machine and movie project, continue or start on your research by looking up videos of Rube Goldberg machines, start planning your project and make a list of materials you need to collect.
4. If you are going to do the STEM Careers presentation, do some research on the websites below and start choosing a career to focus on.

- Glider - 2 teams, 1-2 students per team
- Mousetrap Car - 1 team, 1-2 students per team
- Robotics Tug O' War - 2 teams, 2-4 students per team
- GI Tract - unlimited, 1-2 students per team
- Egg Xpress (egg drop) - 3 teams, 1-2 students per team
- Stick Together (bridge) - 1 team, 1-2 students per team
- Rube Goldberg (PILOT) - unlimited, 1-2 students per team
- Wright Stuff glider (PILOT) - unlimited, 2-4 students per team
Click on the link above to look at the rules for each project and choose you top three choices of project to do next and compete with at MESA Day in March.
You need to complete this Google Form by Friday.
Priority will be given to students who have turned in all their paperwork (Application/Enrollment Form, Contract, and Code of Behavior)
